What are they made from?
All DTW’s Salves are made with organic and locally wild-crafted herbs, organic and/or wild-crafted essential oils and herbal tinctures, in a base of local, organic beeswax and organic, cold-pressed olive oil.
After much trial and error, testing and re-testing and collecting testimonials from market sales for the last five years, the time has come for these highly effective and safe salves to become available to the general public.
Dakini Tidal Wilds’ salves are hand-made in small batches with herbs that are locally wild-crafted from the temperate rainforests of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. They are made in a base of local, organic beeswax; organic, extra-virgin, first cold-pressed olive oil; and organic and/or wild-crafted essential oils.
Having observed over time what is effective and improving upon existing formulas with new discoveries, these medicinal salves are very specific to purpose, highly effective, all-natural and environmentally responsible.
Some of the salves contain tinctures, which are made by herbalist Amanda Swinimer, with locally wild-crafted and/or organically grown herbs. These herbs are hand-harvested, with respect for the Earth, from the local rainforest and gardens.
By bringing to light and recognizing that the temperate rainforests of the Pacific Northwest contain important and unique medicines is one way of ensuring their protection. The temperate rainforests of the world are the rarest and most endangered forest type on the planet.
Essential Oils
All Essential Oils used in DTW’s Salves are from Christine Hopkins of From the Garden...at French Beach…who sources the highest quality wild-crafted and organic essential oils, choosing local when possible. Christine Hopkins is a BC Registered Aromatherapist [RA] with over 10 years experience in therapeutic use of Essential Oils. Christine Hopkins has had extensive training in BC, US & France, and is Certified in both Canada & the US. Specializing in pure, organic or wildcrafted Essential Oils.
